What our customers say

Thank you,..Sally and Mr Shadow

”Shadow says a big woof. He's had a good ole munch on a bone and for his dinner he enjoyed a meat pkt. Thank you for all the lovely fresh meat and bones, it helps keep him healthy. Even his vet is impressed with his condition.

Purely Rich & Raw Dog Dinners

Unlike other brands, our dog dinners are crafted with two goals: to nourish your pooch for a long, happy life and help farmers. We use only the finest raw, nutrient-dense ingredients—high-quality muscle meats for essential amino acids, organ meats packed with vitamins A, D, and B-complex. Our natural bones are full of calcium and phosphorus. Our fresh vegetables mix adds antioxidants and fiber to support digestion and vitality.

Our purely rich & raw approach has no fillers and artificial additives, ensuring every bite delivers maximum nutrition for a shiny coat, boundless energy, and robust health. Give your dog the wholesome, unprocessed diet they deserve. They'll love you even more!

Dogs Live Longer

The Purina longevity kibble, 14-year Life Span Study (1987–2001) focused on Labrador Retrievers and demonstrated that a calorie-restricted diet (25% less than the control group) extended median lifespan by 1.8 years (13 vs. 11.2 years) and delayed the onset of chronic conditions like osteoarthritis. The study used a uniform, processed kibble diet.

By combining our raw nutrient dense dinners with appropriate portioning tailored to your dog’s needs, you can optimise their health for a longer and happier life.

The table above serves as a general guide only and should be tailored with other considerations and factors such as: breed, sex, weight, age, activity level, home environment, and, most importantly, consultation with your veterinarian.

It is rooted in the 25% caloric reduction principle from the Purina 14-year Life Span Study, which demonstrated a 1.8-year lifespan increase and delayed osteoarthritis in Labrador Retrievers, likely due to reduced obesity. While the study utilised kibble (27% protein, 15% fat), our Pete's Meats Premium raw diet, boasting 50-60% protein-rich beef, offers enhanced nutrient density to potentially amplify these longevity benefits out to 2.5 years.

Farmer-to-Bowl

We keep it simple, pure and premium for you.

Who Is Pete?

Pete isn’t just the name on the pack—he’s the heart behind it. A fourth-generation cattle farmer from Braidwood, NSW, Pete’s been raising cattle with care, integrity and obsession over quality his whole life. He knows the paddocks, the pastures, and every beast by eye.

Pete had an idea: why not feed Australia’s dogs the same clean, premium beef he’d proudly serve his own family?

Now, Pete’s Meats delivers real, raw dog dinners—straight from his farm, frozen fresh, with nothing cooked, wasted or fake. Just the best cuts, packed with protein, and the honest Aussie farming story behind every serve.

Who is Troy?

Troy describes himself as a regular bloke battling away to support his young family in Sydney - until a documentary on the state of Australian primary producers and the cost of living crisis had him rethinking his situation.

After years in corporate business, he and his family moved from Sydney to the Southern Tablelands of NSW — not for a tree change, but to dive in and do something about the raw deal our farmers and consumers are getting through a lack of connection.

For Troy, Pete’s Meats isn’t totally about dog food. It’s about standing up for Aussie values: fairness, honesty, and ultimately fostering connection between the people who work the land and the city based battlers.

He's determined to back farmers like Pete — and to help more like him do the same before its too late.
